Setting up Catering
Learn how to set up and configure Catering in your Bopple store.
1. Build your Catering menu
Start by building a dedicated Catering menu. This is separate from your regular menu.
- If you’re a standalone venue, build your menu directly in Bopple.
- If you’re integrated with POS, create your menu there and import it to Bopple.
See menu setup guides:
2. Assign categories to Catering order types
Once your menu exists in Bopple, choose which categories are available for Catering Pick-up and/or Catering Delivery.
- Go to Bopple Back Office → Menu → Availability → Categories
- Select a category
- Choose Limit to specific order types
- Select the Catering order types

💡 Want a category (i.e. Drinks) available across both your regular and Catering menus?
Make sure you also tick your regular order types too (Pickup, Delivery, Dine-in, etc).
3. Configure your Catering fulfilment settings
Once Catering is enabled, set up your fulfilment rules in the Back Office.
- Bopple Back Office → Store settings → Fulfilment
- Select Set up next to Catering Pick-up (or Catering Delivery)
- Enable the toggle
- Update the settings to match your workflows
- Minimum order amount — the minimum spend required for Catering orders
- How far in advance can customers schedule orders? — how far ahead customers can schedule orders
- How much lead time do you require for orders? — how much notice you need to prepare an order (i.e. 2 days notice)
- Do you have a daily cut-off time for orders? — set a cut off time (i.e. order by 2pm for next day)
- Scheduling interval — time interval by which customers can schedule orders for (i.e. 12pm, 12:30pm, 1pm, etc)
- Email notifications — set an email to receive Catering order alerts
- Order confirmation notice — text that will be shown after checkout, and included on receipts

4. Place a test order and go live
Place a test order to check the customer experience.
Once you’re happy with the setup, your Catering menus are ready to accept real orders.
