Stripe Upgrades πŸš€ In October 2024, we're upgrading our Stripe infrastructure to unlock a future with exciting new features like partial refunds, faster payouts, enhanced fraud prevention, and more. This guide outlines how to activate payouts on our new and improved Stripe platform. 

What is Stripe?

Stripe is Bopple's way of paying you out for any order processed through our platform. Think of Stripe as your financial sidekick that ensures you get paid every day. Stripe is a third-party payment processor that handles all the heavy lifting of securely processing payments, monitoring and preventing fraud, and managing transactions. It’s fast, reliable, and seamlessly integrated into Bopple to keep your business running smoothly.

Once you create and verify your Stripe account via Bopple, you're all set to start receiving daily payouts. 

How does Stripe + Bopple work?

When a customer pays for an order using your Bopple-powered online store or mobile application, those funds are paid directly to your bank account by Stripe. You are paid out every day, on a two-day delay. 



Getting started with Stripe on Bopple

Before you can start processing orders with Bopple, you will need to activate your Stripe payout account. This process takes just a few minutes. 

Before you begin

You'll need to have the following information handy when activating payouts. 

  • Business and company details
    Legal Entity Name, Address, Company Registration (eg. ABN/ACN)
  • Business website or social media URL
  • Personal details for yourself and any other owners
    Legal Name, DOB, Address etc
  • Preferred bank account for payouts

Activate payouts in Bopple

Follow the process below to activate a new payout account in Bopple. 

  1. Login to Bopple Back Office
  2. If you have multiple stores, navigate to the store you are setting up 
  3. Go to Store Settings ➜ Payouts ➜ click Activate on the Stripe section

  4. A Stripe window will open for you to complete the remaining steps
  5. Enter your preferred email and phone number
    You can use the same email you've used on a different Stripe account.

  6. Confirm some basic details about your business, like your location, and your business type/structure (eg. company, trust, sole trader etc)

  7. Follow the remaining steps and provide ALL details requested about your company, yourself, and the owners or directors of the company (if applicable).

  8. On the final 'Review and submit' step, if you see any items flagged as Incomplete be sure to click Edit and provide the missing info, then click Agree and submit
  9. You'll then be taken to Bopple Back Office, where you should see your account is ready for Payments and Payouts.

Bopple x Stripe FAQs

I have a Stripe account from another platform. Can I use it with Bopple?

You can only use Stripe accounts that are created directly through Bopple on our new, upgraded Stripe platform which launched in November 2024. 

Stripe accounts created via the Stripe website or through another platform (eg. Sevenrooms) cannot be used on the Bopple platform. 

I run multiple stores. Do I need to do this on every store?

Once you activate a new payout account in Bopple, you can assign that payout account on multiple stores if you are happy to have payouts going to the same bank account. Alternatively, activate a new payout account for each store and you'll receive separate payouts.
