Back Office Update: A simpler way to manage multiple stores in Back Office
We've redesigned how you navigate Back Office when managing multiple stores so you can spend less time clicking around and more time running your business.
What's changed?
With this update, you can now switch stores on a page without going anywhere. Navigate to what you want to manage — trading hours, discounts, or order types, for example — and simply switch between stores right there on the page. No more losing your place every time you change to a different store.
How it works
- Navigate to the section you want to manage (e.g. Store settings → Hours)
- Use the store selector on the page to choose which store you'd like to update.
- Make your changes.
- Switch to the next store and keep going — no need to navigate away.
What this means for you
- One store or ten ✅ — the experience of managing stores in Back Office remains the same as your business grows, meaning less time learning and re-learning.
- Focus on one task ✅ — stay on the page you're working on and switch stores to easily complete the same task or update across many stores.
- Focus on one store ✅ — it's just as easy as it's always been to complete various tasks on one store, as your selected store follows you from page to page.
FAQs
Do I need to do anything to get the new experience?
Nope — the update is automatic for all Back Office accounts. Just log in and you'll see the new navigation right away. There's nothing to enable, install, or configure.
Will my existing settings carry over?
Yes, everything is exactly where you left it. Your trading hours, discounts, store settings, and everything else have all carried over. We've changed how you navigate to those settings, not the settings themselves.
Will my team members see stores they shouldn't have access to?
No — nothing has changed about how user access works. If a team member only has access to certain stores in your account, they'll only see those stores in the store selector. The new navigation makes it easier to move between stores, but it doesn't change which stores someone can access. Your existing permissions are fully respected, just as before.
Can I still see everything for one store in one place?
The new navigation is organised by what you want to manage rather than which store you want to manage. But we've made sure it's just as easy to focus on a single store — once you select a store, that selection follows you as you move between pages. So if you're working through several settings for one location, you won't need to reselect the store each time. When you're ready to switch to a different store, just change it and keep going.
I only have one store — does this affect me?
You'll notice the refreshed navigation, but day-to-day not much changes for you. Since you only have one store, you won't see or need to use the store selector. The update is really about making life easier for businesses as they grow — so if you ever add a second location, you're already set up for a smooth experience.
