Kiosk FAQ's
Quick answers to common questions about using and managing your Bopple self-serve kiosk.

- Tap the product you want to update.
- Toggle In Stock off.
- If needed, enable Restock tomorrow to automatically make the product available again the following day.

Back Office → Menu → Item Availability
From here you can:
- Switch between Products and Modifiers.
- Search or filter for the item.
- Update the In Stock setting.
Note: Modifier availability currently needs to be managed through Bopple Back Office, and Auto Restock is not available for modifiers.

🛍️ Can I control which menu categories are available for different order types
Yes. You can choose which menu categories are available depending on the order type.
For example, you might want a category available for Dine-in but not Pickup, or have certain products only available for specific ordering experiences.
To configure this:
- Go to Bopple Back Office → Menu → Category Availability.
- Select the category you want to manage.
- Select Limit to specific order types.
- Choose the order types where you want the category to be available.
Customers will only see categories available for the order type they have selected.

👀 Do I need to check the kiosk payment terminal for tampering?
Yes. As part of keeping payment devices secure, venues should perform periodic checks of their kiosk payment terminal.
This helps ensure the terminal has not been tampered with, damaged, or had any unauthorised device attached to it, such as a card skimming device.
We recommend regularly checking that:
- The terminal looks the same as usual
- There are no loose, extra, or unusual attachments
- The card reader area has not been blocked, damaged, or modified
- The terminal has not been swapped with another device
- Staff know what the terminal should normally look like
If anything looks unusual, stop using the terminal and contact Bopple Support before taking more payments through the kiosk.
