How it works
When your customer starts adding items to their cart, Smart Upsells gets to work. Based on what the customer has already added to their order, the time of day, and the customer's selected order type, Smart Upsells suggests other relevant products that the customer can quickly add to their order before checkout.

Smart Upsells is enabled by default in your online store, so you don't need to lift a finger to start upselling on every order 🤝🏽
Smart Upsells is an Online Store (web) feature at present. This new experience will be added to the mobile apps for iOS and Android in future updates.

While the bots do most of the heavy lifting, there's a couple of things you can do to give them a helping hand, which will ensure that your customers really can't refuse the suggestions they see.
⚡ Add beautiful product images
Customers order with their eyes. Products with images are much more likely to be added to an order without too much thought, so the Smart Upsells algorithm only suggests products with images.
⚡ Assign categories to your Food and Drink menu groups
The Smart Upsells algorithm looks at what the customer has already added to their cart, and makes suggestions accordingly. This includes recommending drinks on orders that only contain food, and food on orders that only contain drinks. If you haven't moved your categories into the Food and Drink groups, the suggestions will be more generic.
