How does the integration between Bopple and Lightspeed work?
- Bopple will import your menu from Lightspeed
- Bopple customer app creates the order in the Bopple platform
- Bopple platform creates the order in your POS platform
- Your POS platform transmits the order to your POS device
Bopple does not communicate directly with your POS device
Your POS provider's technology, and your on-site network, are responsible for orders being transmitted from the POS platform to your POS device.
How do I get notified about new orders?
Orders will show in the Orders section of your Lightspeed POS.
If Pass Thru Printing is enabled (auto-accept), a docket will print automatically and the order will appear on your Bump Screen.
If Pass Thru Printing is disabled (manual accept), the POS will make a noise every 30 seconds until a staff member accepts or rejects the order.
You can also see orders in the Bopple Orders Manager. It is recommended to install Bopple Orders Manager on your device (phone/tablet/iPad) as a backup incase there is an integration error.
What do I need to do when I receive an order?
Firstly you'll need to accept the order by pressing Accept, then Send to print the docket.
This will let the customer know their order has been confirmed, and roughly when it will be ready for pickup.
Auto Accept ✨ Enable auto-accept by following instructions here
After you have accepted the order, you'll need to mark it as Ready once it has been prepared.
This will notify the customer their order is ready for pickup (or on route for delivery orders) through a text message or push notification.
After the order is marked as Ready, depending on your Lightspeed settings, the order will:
- Auto-complete immediately
- Auto-complete after a set timer (i.e. 15 minutes)
- Require manual completion
If your order requires manual completion, this can be done on the Orders ➜ Online orders section in your POS.

Does my store status or prep time sync to Bopple?
Yes! Setting your store status (online/offline) and prep time directly in Lightspeed POS will sync automatically to Bopple. To enable this feature, see the steps below:
- Bopple Back Office ➜ Store settings ➜ Integrations
- Select Configure next to Lightspeed
- Open Sync settings and enable Sync prep time ➜ Close

Do happy hours or public holiday surcharges sync to Bopple?
Yes! Lightspeed's Price List feature will sync to Bopple.
How do I process a refund?
Both full and partial refunds processed in Lightspeed are transmitted to Bopple which will result in the customer being refunded. See more information here.

Does Product Availability sync to Bopple?
Lightspeed's Product Availability can be synced to Bopple by following this guide.
Once enabled, setting a count (i.e. 5 units left) or marking an item as sold out will instantly sync to Bopple. As stock is decremented in Lightspeed (either via POS orders or Bopple orders), the count on Bopple's side will update in realtime.
How is my Lightspeed menu synced to Bopple?
Bopple will sync all your menu, including categories, products and modifiers from Lightspeed.
Menu imports can occur in one of three ways:
- Automatic 🔄
Daily menu import triggered each morning before opening - Manual 👤
Triggered by a Back Office user to instantly sync changes in Square (see steps here) - Error-Triggered ⚠️
If a customer order fails for a menu-related error, Bopple will automatically trigger a menu import to sync the latest changes and prevent a repeat POS menu error
Typically occurs if a product or option set is deleted in Lightspeed

Enable Order Types feature and configure your default prep time
Enable the Order Types feature so you can set your default preparation time and see the order type on the docket
- Lightspeed Back Office ➜ Features
- Search for Order Types
- Click Order Types ➜ Enable (if not already enabled)
Choose when to complete online orders
Choose your desired behaviour after readying an order in Lightspeed POS.
- Lightspeed Back Office ➜ My Site ➜ Site Information
- Scroll down and open Online ordering
- Select a method Choose when to complete online orders
- Complete orders when marked ready
Orders will automatically complete once they are marked as ready in the POS - Delay the completion of orders
After readying an order, orders will automatically complete after the selected time - Swipe to complete
Orders will need to be manually completed (not recommended for high volume venues)
